Dayak Safety Officers with NEBOSH or NIOSH certification are encouraged to join.

Electrical Hazards

Example of electrical hazards which was found during the yearly spot check at workers quaters yesterday (16/03/008). Lot of illegal connection were found.

These worker were working inside a confine space (vessel engine room) they didnt provide any proper PPE even with dusk mask..the blower also not working properly.

Top 5 in Race

No 5 in the list: This guys working at height without wear safety belt / safety harness while his freind just look onto him. You can notice that he only stood at a piece of wooden block.

No 4 in the list: Can you notice the man inside this picture enjoy a cigratte while painting? He not only inhale the tar / nicotine but the chemical produce by the paint also,the chances of this man die in young age is high..
No 3rd in the competition: You can see the welding hoses spread everyway and mix together with Oxy & Acy hoses. The chances of fire and explosion happen is there. Have give them a warning letter but no improvement taken yet by Person In-charges. As long as I have documentation for back up by ass what more can i say?Just standby to call ambulance and Bomba la...

Runner up of the competition: The Oxy & Acy cylinder kept lying and no proper rack for storage. If any fire or the cylinder explosion, you could imagine the effect. Never mind,dont forget to keep the ambulance,Bomba and police number inside your phone.

and The Champion is here: Cool and look like a rat nest.Just keep aware from this area especially during raining day / in wet condition,the electrical circuit may happen anytime and dont let you become the victim of electrical shock.

Safety And Health Manager(Sabah - Kota Kinabalu)

Responsibilities:
Responsible and ensure overall construction site compliance to safety standard and legislation.
Provide advice on matters relating to Safety, Health and Environment.
Implement internal and external Safety processes and procedures.
Liaison work with relevant government authorities on Safety, Health Environment matters.
Lead the safety committee to ensure OSHA compliance.
Lead regular workplace inspection and safety audit.
Identity potential risks and recommends practical and cost effectively solutions in Safety, Health and Environment.

Requirements:
Minimum Diploma / Professional Certificate approved by DOSH / NIOSH.
Minimum 2-5 years experience in Construction Safety Officer and implementation.
Familiar with Safety, Health and Environment matters for project and able to liaise with the relevant statutory bodies.
Have both manufacturing & construction industrial exposure.
Registered OSH Officer under DOSH is a pre-requisite
